Home Based Family-Led Funerals

 At the core of our values is the belief that families can care for their own in death and create personal, meaningful ceremonies and rituals at home. We are here to gently support you with any tasks you may wish assistance with, always with deep respect for your choices.

The following fees apply to family-led funerals where families are caring for the body of their person at home. If you wish to hold a family-led ceremony but would prefer for your person to be cared for by Natural Grace in our Sanctuary, please refer to our offerings under Gatherings, Funerals, and Memorials.

All support is provided during business hours. For assistance outside these times, an after-hours surcharge may apply.

It is important you seek an estimate of costs prior to engaging us to support you.

Our fees to support family-led after death and funeral care:

After death transfer from place of death to home including basic mortuary care –

 $1,295

Receive Coronial transfer into our care, provide mortuary care and transfer to home* –

 $1,295

Assistance with washing and dressing only (no transfer needed) –

 $695

Techni-ice packs for keeping your person cool (20 per day of care) –

 $10 each

Each additional support visit –

 $395

Removal of pacemaker by mortician * –

 $695

Home visit by doctor to authorise cremation (if applicable and if available) –

 from $440

Registration of death –

 $495 plus

Death Certificate Package –

 $125

Death Certificate / Cause of Death Only –

 $80

Arrangement of cemetery booking –

 $265

Vehicle, driver, and assistant for escort to local cemetery for burial OR to Ballarat or Geelong for cremation calculated from departure and return to our Sanctuary** –

 $695 per hour

Shroud or coffin choice – See Coffins, Caskets, Shrouds & Urns

Cemetery fees payable directly to the cemetery of your choice  – Cremations & Burial Cemetery Choices

Travel surcharges apply outside our standard operating area ***

After Hours Surcharge

Attendance for any service occurring after hours, additional fee applies –

 from $895

* Service only available during business hours.
** Pallbearers to be provided by your family or community. Natural Grace can supply additional pallbearers at $330 per person.
*** Our standard operating area is a 50km radius of our Warrnambool Sanctuary. A surcharge of $3.50 per km applies thereafter.
