Bernice CLARKE

28 January 1954 – 24 September 2026
Aged 72 years
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bernice Clarke.
Loved wife and life partner of Dayle Morgan.
Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Lee, Dion and Jodie, Karana and Ash.
Adored Nan of Shannice, Zakk, Jaylen, Billee, Meekah, Taaru and Mooky.
Special Nan of Ashlee, Kobe, Jandi, Nisha, Melyssa, Jarrah and Stella.
A much-loved aunty to her many nieces and nephews.
Beloved daughter of Banjo and Audrey Clarke (nee Couzens) (both dec).
Much-loved sister of Helen, Vernon (dec), Pat, Lenny, Ian (dec), Libby, Karen (dec) and Fiona.
Bernice leaves behind a family rich in love, connection and generations. Her strength, spirit and the love she gave to her family will continue through her children, grandchildren and all those who were blessed to know her.
Her journey now returns her to those who came before her, reunited with her beloved Mum, Dad and family who have gone before.
She returns to Country, to her ancestors and to the Dreaming – where the stories, spirit and connections of our people continue across generations.
May she rest peacefully on her Country, surrounded by the love of her family and ancestors.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
Her story, her spirit and her love live on through us all.
In honour of Bernice’s life a memorial service will be held at Banjo Clarke Memorial Park, Kirrae Avenue, Framlingham on Friday 9th October 2026 at 2pm.

To My Beautiful Mum-in-Law, Bernice
I’ll always be proud that I finally convinced you to go for Collingwood. 🖤🤍
Although, knowing you, you probably only agreed because I kept talking about them until you gave up!
I’m going to miss sitting with you, telling you the same old stories over and over again and pretending you hadn’t heard them a hundred times already.
I’ll also miss keeping you stocked up with enough snacks to feed an entire football team. You were never going hungry on my watch!
I’ll miss our laughs, our chats and all the little moments that made you so special.
Rest peacefully, Bernice.
Keep watch over me. ❤️
And if there’s a footy ground in the Dreamtime, Go Pies! 🖤🤍
I will miss you more than you know. ❤️ xx
Rest peacefully, my beautiful Mumma.
Walk gently with our Ancestors.
Until we meet again, your spirit lives on in us. ❤️ xx
My deepest condolences to you Lee and to your family, I met Bernice years ago such
lovely lady ❤️
Though words fall short when shadows fall,
Love’s gentle echo outlasts all.
A light remains, though out of sight,
To guide you through the quiet night
Rest now, gentle soul, your work is complete,
The long road is traveled, the journey sweet.
Though tears must fall like rain from skies,
A quiet peace where memory lies.

A good friend, a good colleague, a valued part of the whole community, Bernice leaves this side to enrich the other, leaving her wisdom, strengths and memories for all who knew her.
Nan had a beautiful soul, always loving and caring for her whole family and community. She has accomplished such wonderful things in her lifetime, which has been a true inspiration to me. Nan was the strongest person I’ve known, I have always admired that about her. Her strength brought hope. I hope the Dreamtime has welcomed you with love. Until we meet again nan, I love you so much.
