Passing on my condolences to all the family . Sorry I couldn’t attend Laurie’s Funeral Service
My feeling and prayers are with Laurie and Pat and their family at this time. I have warm memories of Laurie and Pat. . Our prayer comes to mind – ‘We join together with the saints and pray – ‘0ur Father who art in Heaven’.
Thinking of you all at this sad time. We have very fond memories of Laurie as a great friend of our father Ted Wilson.
Reunited with Pat.
Unfortunately we are unable to attend his funeral. So sending love and prayers to you all .
Today I honour my dad — a beautiful, generous, gentle man who lived 91 full years and gave so much of himself to the people he loved. Some of my clearest memories are from our road trips, travelling across the country with everyone else asleep – Dad and I stayed awake together. Those late-night drives were our time — just the two of us keeping each other company, talking, laughing, or simply sharing the quiet. I’ll treasure those moments for the rest of my life.
Dad had a way of helping that made you feel cared for, never burdensome. He built my security gates, built my trailer, fixed things around the house and did it all with a smile and such kindness. Whenever something went wrong, Dad was there — steady, patient, ready to give his time and his hands.
Both he and Mum carried me through some of the hardest chapters of my life, including cancer and so many other difficult moments. Their love held me up when I couldn’t hold myself.
My dad was a wonderful father — truly one of the great ones. But he was also a great man: humble, generous, and endlessly loving. I will miss him deeply, and I am so grateful to have been his child.
