When a father’s shadow fades, an uncle’s light steps in. That’s exactly what you did for me, Uncle Andy. You were like a father to me, and I learned so much from you. I’ll carry those lessons with me for the rest of my life.
I’ll never forget our walks for a strong latte and the long talks we’d have about life, cars, and of course, the Chevys. I’ll always remember sitting on the train with you, looking through the car magazines and guessing which car we’d drive next. We’d even pick out the ones we thought Pa would have driven.
I’ll never forget the little things either. Like those short walks across the road to play basketball. Honestly, I didn’t even really want to play half the time. I just wanted to spend time with you. Looking back now, I realise it was never really about playing basketball. It was about having that time with you, and those are the moments I wish I could have back.
It’s funny how the simplest memories can end up meaning the most. At the time, they were just normal days, but now they’re some of the memories I’ll treasure forever.
You were one of the best people I could have had in my life, and I’m so grateful I got to have you as my uncle. I’ll never forget you, Andy.
If there is a heaven, I hope you’re up there with Nan and Pa, with a clean Chevy sitting beside you, the one you always wanted.
Rest easy, Uncle Andy. I love you, and you’ll always have a special place in my heart.

To my favourite uncle in the whole world, and the father figure I never had. 🤍
I don’t know how to put into words the hole you’ve left behind. I’ll miss your voice, your laugh, your presence, and simply knowing you were there.
You were so much more than an uncle to me. You were someone I loved deeply and will carry with me forever.
You always loved your family more than anything in this world, and we will love you just as deeply, in this life and beyond. 🤍
I love you endlessly Andy. I wish I had more time.
“Love you heaps, even more than that.”
Love always,
