Death Certificates

There are two types of Death Certificates available:

  1. ‘Death Certificate – Cause of Death’ provides all the details of a person’s death including the cause of death and the location and date of the burial or cremation as is required for legal, superannuation and insurance organisations.
  2. ‘Death Certificate’ is an abridged version of the full certificate and is suitable for confirming that a person has died.
    It does not include the cause of death or burial/cremation information.

We recommend that Guests who have been at the Coroner obtain the Death Certificate Package, and will select this package unless otherwise advised by the family.

Transfer Fees

Transfer Fees – Business Hours Transfers

Transfer from the place of death within our operating area of 100 km radius –

$no charge

Transfer from the place of death outside our operating area per additional km after 200 km –

 $2.20 per/km

Safekeeping transfer – transfer from local place of death into our care for up to 48 hours

whilst family or friends decide on final choice of funeral director or for distant funeral

directors requiring local accommodation for their client –

 $695

Transfer Fees – After Hours Transfers

Transfer from the place of death within our operating area of 100 km radius –

 $395

Transfer from the place of death outside our operating area per additional km after 200 km –

 $3.50 per/km

whilst family or friends decide on final choice of funeral director or for distant funeral

directors requiring local accommodation for their client –

Transfer from the Coroners Court in Melbourne

There is no transfer fee for people who died in regional Victoria and are in the care of the Coroner in Melbourne. Transport to return your person to Warrnambool will be arranged by the Coroner at a time of their discretion. If you require the transfer at a time determined by you, the fees above will apply –

Our standard operating area is a 100 km radius around our Warrnambool Sanctuary.
Travel outside our standard operating areas –

Weekend and Public Holiday Ceremony Surcharges

Includes Holistic Funeral Director, funeral attendant, and hearse for a four hour time frame –

Newspaper Notice Placement

Additional fee charged when more than two notices are placed on your behalf –

Publishing and / or printing cost from newspaper is charged at cost.

Pre-Paid Funeral – Administration Fee

Natural Grace does not encourage pre-paid funeral except in very limited circumstances. We do not believe pre-paid funerals are in the best interests of individuals or families nor us. We understand however that some people do wish for a pre-paid funeral plan, and we can accommodate this wish. Our administration fee applies to cover our costs and risks in preparing and accepting the plan. Conditions apply. –

Memorial Service or Celebration of Life (No Body-care)

There are times when no body-care is required. This may because the service or celebration is held much later to the cremation, or because the person’s body was donated to medical science, or the cremation or burial component was attended to by another funeral director. –
