Vicki DALGLEISH

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beautiful Vicki Dalgleish.
Mum passed away peacefully, aged 80 years, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dearly loved and devoted wife of Doug for 56 wonderful years.
Much loved and cherished mother of Natalya, Lowri and Owen.
Adored nanna of 14 grandchildren.
Vicki dedicated her life to her family and to shaping young minds at local schools for many years. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity and kindness, her beautiful curly afro, and the lasting impact she had on all who knew her — especially her family, friends, and the many students whose lives she touched.
She will be forever in our hearts.

I’m sorry I can’t attend the funeral and celebration of the life of beautiful Vicki. We have wonderful memories of family holidays together many moons ago. My thoughts are with you all. Love and hugs Linda Greblo 💜💜💜
When we think of Vicki, we think of a woman with a passion for life and a love of people. I have known Vicki for the last 50 years. Our carefree Queensland beginnings, followed by visits to her on the farm in Victoria, and Vicki and Doug’s stay with me in Adelaide. Many benefitted from her parenting, guidance, teaching and encouragement. Vicki was kind and considerate with everyone and everything that she shared her life with, including her animal friends. We have lost a truly beautiful human being. Thinking of you all, lots of love to the family xxx
Vicki — a truly beautiful soul.
Thank you, Vicki, for the wonderful childhood memories you and your family gave me — the fun trips to the snowfields, learning to spin wool in your living room in Woodend, and the carefree adventures on the farm, from bareback riding sheep to horse riding. Most of all, thank you for welcoming me and my family so warmly into yours. Even as the years passed, I thought of you often.
All my love to Doug, Tali, Owen, Laurie, and the extended family.
I enjoyed every time I met Vicki in Woodend, such a stalwart companion to Doug. She and I competed with word puzzles over coffee and chewed the fat on many issues. I so envied her fabulous afro hair which came and went with the various treatments she suffered; she never complained apart for some great eye-rolls. You will be missed and fondly remembered, my friend.
Our dear friend Vicki , we deeply regret your passing and are very sorry that we cannot be in Woodend to attend your funeral .
Doug, Natalya, Lowri & Owen please accept our most sincere sympathy for your loss.

Our dear friend Vicki. You will be so sadly missed. You were so supportive and caring to the ladies in our support group despite what you were going through yourself.

Vicki was a very kind person.
When my mum died last year, Vicki rang me and said all of the right things which I found to be a most thoughtful act of connection.
