MANY of coffees shared in the Pink String days, kms ran, pine poles, tyres and ropes lugged around Woodend in the Flying Start Fitness days, Essendon Carlton banter was a hot topic, and we loved hearing stories of your umpiring days.
You were an incredibly proud Dad and may just have taken the cake for my most regular customer!
Fly high Gordy, gone too soon but your legacy will live on through the many you touched upon.

What a wonderful humble man- so generous with his time & support of our son and his love for running.
Our family only met Gordy twice in person in the past month or so. He took our two primary aged sons for a couple of run sessions at the Castlemaine Botanic Gardens. Immediately after the first session our sons running became significantly better at Gordy’s instruction we as parents were so surprised at how amazing the sessions were and how much he taught them in only two 45min sessions. We are very grateful to Gordy and his skill in this area and felt the need to share our very short fleeting experience with others. We were incredibly sorry read of his passing and send our thoughts and condolences to his family and friends as you navigate life without him. Just wanted you to know that he touched our family so fleetingly and we could tell that he was a warm and genuine person.
Heartfelt condolences to Heidi and the extended family of my friend, Eileen Muir (dec.) on the passing of Gordon who I knew as a child and met again several years ago. A lovely man with a zest for life. Vale Gordon, you will be missed by many.
We didn’t know Gordon closely, but we always felt a genuine camaraderie and fellowship with him when our paths crossed in the garden nursery world. Gordy had a way of making you feel that you’d always been friends. We are so incredibly sad that he’s gone. Such a loss. Sincere condolences to his family.
A wonderful person with a great love of life and bringing the best out of everyone around him. His loss is a massive one for the community and is felt deeply to where I now live on the Gold Coast. He has been responsible for helping athletes get the extra edge to win so many races and even make it to the AFL. He had a gift and he was always keen to share it with the world. At times, his mere presence was a gift in itself
There are no words to adequately acknowledge what an inspiration Gordy was.
His presence, patience and guidance to so many, touched their hearts and lives.
His impact in countless ways, has created a love and a legacy that will live on through us all. 💔
