Our deepest sympathies to Sue, Rachel, James, and family on the loss of dear Don. His daily writings were a source of inspiration and entertainment when small snippets were shared. Our very best wishes for today’s commemoration of a long and meaningful life. With love, Belinda, Libby, and Patrick.

I am very sorry for big loss of Don. He was very kind and always welcome me to his family. Great memories from Xmas time and other times in the past. Thinking of him and his family. My deepest sympathy.

Rest in peace Donnie & big condolences to all the family. I have so many memories of hilarious times in Richmond & lost weekends at Phillip Island where Donnie & Sheila indulged our teenage angst & ridiculousness with grace & good humour. So glad to have been a part of it. Big love to you all, definitely the end of an era. xxx

I will remember his sunny disposition. Everything was just fine. The pile of sugar cubes and lollies beside his stack books is a lovely memory of him.

Another loss to publishing and Labor.Vale Don

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Donny. I have known him for many decades and he was the most gentle, calming and polite person I have ever met. He is now with his beautiful wife, Sheila. May he rest in peace. xo

Dear Don. My wonderful neighbour. An absolute gentleman and scholar. Rest well dear Don ❤️
