Hi to the Mansergh family.
Pete and I just watched Danny’s memorial online. What a wonderful tribute to a much loved, charismatic man. We haven’t seen Danny for many years, but we often speak of him and have great memories of his early days. Pete and Mick have so many crazy stories from their teens to early 20’s. He was best man at our wedding, and was a huge part of all the O’Reillys lives. I’m so sad that we didn’t catch up in recent years, but by the beautiful tributes that we heard, he sounds like he hadn’t changed a bit! So sad that his life ended prematurely, but looks like he’s left a lovely legacy with his two sons.
Much love from Pete and Nat O’Reilly 💜💜
Hi Sammy and Angus, sorry I could not get there today to say goodbye to the amazing Danny, but I have so many great memories of him. Sam, every time he came to pick you up from my house we would have great chats and he would say “WHAT HAVE THOSE TWO RASCALLS BEEN UPTO” I HOPE THEY HAVE BEHAVED! He was always there at footy to help, always at school to help and anytime I just had a house maintenance question, he was right there for me! I used to also bump into him at Kyneton pub when I was working up there, he always had a big smile for me after my shitty day at work. Love you guys heaps and see you soon down the beach. Lots of love
RIP Dan. You leave a wonderful legacy in your boys, the lights of your life.
So sad to learn of Danny’s death. He would always greet you with his ready smile, and his great sense of humour meant any conversations usually ended with much laughter. He had an innate gentleness to his nature and so dearly loved his boys.
My deepest sympathy to Angus and Sam on your loss.
Hey Guys so sorry, the world will never be the same and there unfortunately will be no replacement for this man, your Dad “Knackers” was a beautiful person…you are very lucky to have called him Dad.
I first met yr Mum and Dad over 30 years ago, I supplied the Reece shirts for tomorrow which I am thrilled about. I will be there 2morro to honour and thank a man that will greatly be missed. You have no idea how many people have been touched by him, ps. Love the pic…that’s Knackers 🙂
