Thanks for the memories old Mate, so lovely to see you and Sam before Christmas. Being greeted with the Big hug 🤗 yes you made us both do the big count down, (wasn’t about to let Rogie off the hook lol) brings tears to my thinking of it now, as it did when we said goodbye. (Two old shearer’s saying goodbye, knowing it could be the last)
You were so happy showing us around your veggie patch, your welding, I hope you got to finished the last project you were working on, you loved the birds in the yard, showing us the bird boxes, especially the Jay birds, or the chough birds as you called them. We went through the Shearing album, reminiscing about the old day, until you started to tire.
Every time we see the Jay/chough birds in our yard we will think of our friend Meadie.
Fly high with the birds our beautiful Mate
Rogie and Gaylene xx

School mate gone way too soon. RIP Meade.
On behalf of us Kalms children, we thank you for entering our lives and treating us just like we were your own. Your unique personality and sense of humour never failed to bring light and laughter into a room. You were one of the most sincere, compassionate, enthusiastic, inventive and hard-working men to walk this earth and it was an honour to have you present in our lives all these years. Tony, you will forever and always hold a very special place in our heart, we adored, appreciated and loved you dearly. ❤️ -Chloe & family
Farewell ol mate, rest easy now. It’s been a pleasure. (Chaos has arrived in heaven.) Condolences to Sam and to the Meade family, thinking of you all today.
Tony, I am shocked and saddened by the news of your passing.
We became good friends during my time in Bendigo.
I learnt a lot working with you and you became a strong role model for me in those years.
My condolences to Jamie and the rest of your family.
Rest easy my old mate.
Dan Lavey.
My old mate Tony (Cassius), thinking of all the great times we had through the 90’s, fishing, footy, the Pub and so on. I know we lost contact over the later years but you were always part of my family. You were always a practical joker & loved playing tricks on people, my son Zach came home from footy one day with a new nickname, “sack of potatoes”, thanks Cassius and you loved keeping fit. Thanks for all the great memories especially my & Tania’s wedding day which you were best man at and made a very humorous and memorable speech. Sorry we can’t be there to say goodbye but I know you’ll be checking us all out. RIP mate.
Rod, Tania, Zach & Indiana
So sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. We only met Tony a couple of times, but it was evident he was a genuine gentleman. Much love to you Sam, and his loved ones.
Hard to say goodbye to one my dearest friends of the last 25 years. Someone I learned so much from and loved so dearly. My whole family is heartbroken, he wet the baby’s head of both my son. We all know, Tony was a good lad. Cheers old mate.
A lifetime of memories with the hilarious, clever, ever-curious, astute, loving, caring Tony. Interested in all things and all people; an explorer, an inventor and the funniest story-teller I have ever met. A hard worker since childhood, setting the example and the pace wherever he was working..even on holiday! Willing to try anything, especially if it caused a bit of chaos. (The Catholic priests know this.) I will smile every time I pass the family of white tailed choughs when I drive past the Woolpack. I cannot believe you are gone, my favourite cousin.(#ifyouknowyouknow)
Tony you where someone no one will ever forget such a character and good nature. I remember you would call me Wardy even after I remarried again haha. No more pain rest in peace now .God Bless xo
Rip Tony I’m shocked and saddened i was hoping to catch up in Newzealand one day.
He will be sadly missed as a great friend on and off the jobsite.RIP mate. Hopefully they don’t need any concrete laid in heaven so you can just sit back and have a beer.
RIP Tony, the battle finally over, condolences to all the families and friends, will be watching from afar.
Thinking of you all at this time x
Thank you for everything you did for me, you have been a massive part of my life, R.i.p old mate.
My time knowing Anthony was brief, I was looking forward to a friendship developing over our shared love of photography. Sorry, I can’t make the service as I am traveling. Thinking of you Sam and hope to catch up in the future. Such a sad situation.
What a behemoth of a man. Such a powerful, strong presence yet still gentle and able to see even the smallest of nature’s beauty. A lover of the outdoors, able to fix or make anything and full of curiousity for world news, art and literature. Thank you for meeting and matching our beautiful Samantha – I didn’t think it was possible but you somehow did it. She was so happy in your presence. Go well Tony and rest always in Gods care. You will be so missed. Love Mandy, Jeff, Jack and Ella xxxxx
Tony, you were my mother’s favourite nephew. Sorry to all other cousins. You would always visit the farm at Carapooee when in the area. You’d bring all the new girlfriends around to meet her. Not sure what your intentions were, maybe approval … Anyway she loved it. She loved ‘the larrikin’ in you. You were such a fun loving person to be around and showed interest in her daily activities. Basically, you cared. She’ll be waiting for you at the pearly gates. Leila won’t be far behind. You’re so like your mum. Very ‘naughty’ in a good way though. We all appreciated you and your presence will be missed daily. RIP Tony. Condolences to Jaime and Kayla and siblings John, Pauline, Shane and Dianne. Thinking of you all in this sad time. Anne Warhurst xx 😘
Rip my longlife friend
