Maaate…. as you always used to say. I can’t believe I’m writing this, just like saying goodbye to you didn’t feel real. I am going to miss you so much. I miss that big teethy grin. I miss talking with you. Never thought I’d say that because I used to joke that working with you I’d end up with tired ears. I’d give anything to hear the ridiculousness from your mouth again followed by your chuckle. I miss our chats of an afternoon when you were running the dogs down the bush. You certainly were one of a kind Benny especially after a couple of long necks!
I want to thank you for befriending me 20 years ago. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. Thank you for helping me whenever I needed it. Thank you for always being an ear though sometimes it was hard to get a word in. Most of all, thanks for being my mate. I love you and I’ll miss you forever.
