Chris AITKEN

October 1948 – August 2026
Christopher, or Chris as most knew him, was the beloved partner of Jude, devoted father to Josh, Shem and Holly with their mother, Cate. Father-in-law to Steen and Melissa. Proud Poppo to Tara, Jarrah, Briley, Rumi and Gypsy and eldest brother to Nicholas and Andy.
A loyal colleague, mentor, teacher, confidant and, above all, a kind, warm-hearted, humble and much-loved man, Chris touched and inspired countless lives. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Chris loved life and he loved people, but above all, he loved his family and his friends. His well-documented achievements stretched far beyond borders, from the sporting field to the many communities and schools enriched by his teaching, wisdom and music.
Chris left this world on Monday 3 August, with grace and dignity, his beloved Jude by his side.
He truly was a living legend, a very special man who loved so many, was loved by so many, and will forever remain in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.
Forever loved. Forever remembered
