Lara, it was truly a pleasure working with you at the Broadmeadows office. From day one, your energy, warmth, and sense of humour lit up the workplace. We shared so many laughs—moments I’ll always treasure.
You brought style, grace, and a spark of fun to everything you did. You’ll forever be remembered as Gorman’s fashion icon—always effortlessly chic and unmistakably you.
You will be missed terribly, both as a colleague and a friend.
Forever in my heart.
With love,
Amanda

A beautiful soul. Forever loved and never forgotten. May you rest in peace.

Dearest Lara (“L”), thank you so much for all the years of fun, hilarity, cheekiness, seriousness, laughter, singing and dancing. Our times together at the Centre – along with Juliet – were among my most fun work experiences ever. Debrief sessions at the latest bar or pub, analysing our work life (and colleagues!), planning and discussion about your next beautiful hat creations – so so talented -, gossiping and dissecting the latest pop culture news or reminiscing about our 80s and 90s icons and always bringing so much laughter, joy, colour and SUNSHINE to life inside and outside of work.
But Lara, you not only brought sunshine and warmth – you were also deeply caring and thoughtful. Russ remembers a time when you brought him in to line – via a private facebook msg – following an online rant of his that did him no justice. You made him stop and think and do better.  What an absolute winner you were and are.
Thank you friend for the best and most joyful times ever; I am absolutely heart-broken that you are no longer with us for one more heart-to-heart … and karaoke together. I know that wherever you are now you will be bringing laughter, fun and sunshine and I hope you are not resting but singing in joy and contentment and knowing how much you are loved and adored by us all.
50 incredible, amazing, impactful years – you’ve touched the lives of so many. We all love you so much Lara. I wish I’d been able to tell you all this face to face. Love you ~ Rach xxxxxxxxx

Beautiful, hilarious, talented, creative, style icon, cheeky caring Lara. You were such a huge part of who I am today. I was in such awe of your beauty, kindness and down to earth spirit. You will live on in my heart forever as the girl with a brilliant smile, sparkly eyes and huge heart strutting into clubs with everyone’s head turning. You took me under your wing at fashion school and we always had the best times. I remember Lara taking us on a wild goose chase up to Mt Macedon to see a meteor shower when we were meant to be doing pattern making homework to pass our course. We shared a love of The Sound of Music and I cherished going with Peta, Lara and Anna to the singalong at Hamer Hall. I was so happy when Lara came to my 40th and stayed with me in Chelsea and I was so looking forward to catching up when she messaged me a couple of weeks ago. Rest in Peace beautiful Lara you will be missed not just by me but Dave, my brother Dave and Neil who always has had a special place in his heart for you xxx

Lara, I remember and honour a beautiful soul who touched my life and the lives of others with her presence.
Your kindness, warmth, and laughter made the world brighter for everyone who knew you.
You had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved — a rare and beautiful gift.
Though you are no longer here with us, your spirit lives on in the memories we hold close,
in the lessons you taught us through your compassion, and in the love you shared so freely.
I will miss our conversations, your smile, and the comfort of your presence.
Rest in peace, beautiful. You will never be forgotten.

Lara, your beautiful smile and infectious laugh were ever-present when our families were together. It is with much sadness that we say Rest In Peace.

You told me once that you always had a feeling of not being “Good Enough”. My response to that was an emphatic, “bullshit”. Lara not only were you exceptional as a human being, and team mate, you were talented, zany, thoughtful, emotionally brave, crafty, great lover of laughter, and the odd bevvy. You saw beauty and loved. What more could anyone wish for in a sometimes bleak and ugly world. In my eyes and heart you were More than Good Enough! You were Simply the Best. Sarnie xx

A Quiet Word for Lara in the afternoon. It has been a long time since High School and it is possible you may not have remembered me,
However , I Remember You.
Rest In Peace. Travel High.
Michael Gillis.

Lara, in 2009 I was lucky to meet you through a mutual friend. We became flatmates upon my return to Australia. After 17 years abroad you made my transition back home, with all the reverse culture shock that comes with it, so much easier. So, I want to say ‘Thank you.’ Our shared humour meant we would soon be friends; the sense of the ridiculous ensured we were always cracking up. I’ll always remember our trip to Junee, visiting the liquorice factory and the Monte Cristo homestead. Later we also went to a crime exhibition in Bendigo. Like me, you had a fascination for true crime. My one regret is we had a falling out but this does not mar the memory of all the good times too numerous to mention. Rest easy Lara. X
