Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Thomson ‘Sunny’ Kottarathara will be offered at St Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 5 Silk Street, Rosanna on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025 at 11.00am.
Refreshments will be served following Mass in the St Martin of Tours Community Hall.
Following refreshments, Sunny will be laid to rest at Eltham Cemetery, 40 Mount Pleasant Road, Eltham at 3:00pm. Everyone is warmly invited to attend.
Rosary will be recited the evening prior to Mass on MONDAY 1st September 2025 at 6:00pm at St Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 5 Silk Street, Rosanna.

I knew from the first time you introduced yourself, more than three decades ago, in archives of the old Instrument room, I had in front of me a true gentleman…. possessing such a beautiful soulful energy. We became instant buddies, your kindness, integrity, intelligence and witty charm was valued by all of us in our workplace. You treated everyone with such respect….. from the poor laymen who had no idea what they were doing, top Legal QC’s, Business Directors, the odd Celebrity, Property professionals or your average Joe blogs, you treated them all with the same patience and attention. Always going above and beyond, greeting everyone with a smile and a kind word. We had many along chat and laugh you and I. Not to forget, an appreciation for a good Scotch. Often exchanging new finds and sharing a dram or two at special office events. Tonight, my dear friend as I could not physically attend your farewell, (though there in spirit)😉 I will shout out a drink to you!! . My heart goes out to both Metty and Nikki as of course they will miss you most. RIP Thomson you were a big part of my work family, I will miss you buddy💔🥀

Words are not enough to describe him.He was a gem of a person, always bringing light to anyone around him with his humour. I’m sure anyone who has acquainted with him will never forget his signature laughter. He deeply valued relations, hours of conversation with his brother ( my pappa )and everyone else at home. Phone calls that will never come again…
We were deeply shaken and heartbroken when we came to know about his passing.But this might be God’s will. I’m sure Sunny chacha is in a good place watching over us..
